But it will be some time before the pandemic is over, and meanwhile, experts are focusing on the situation among older adults. Seniors are at highest risk of serious illness and death from the virus that causes COVID-19, and they’ve been advised to limit interactions with other people. “Staying close to home and avoiding crowded places can help older adults reduce their risk of being exposed to COVID-19,” reported a research team from the University of Michigan. “But a new national poll suggests it comes with a cost, especially for those with health challenges.”
